Hello, I am Hideki Okuda, inventor of Wraplug.  I invented this because I was tired of tangled cords and broken ground prongs.  I am sure that there are hundreds of people who are frustrated like I was.  I hope my invention will make your life a little bit easier.

Why do we have to protect the ground prong?

Many people realize that their electrical appliances work fine with a broken ground prong, so they decide to ignore the fact that it is broken and they keep on using it. The ground prong is there for a reason: to protect you from an electrocution. If a wire inside of an ungrounded tool becomes loose, it touches the metal part and becomes hot. If anyone touches the tool, while the metal and wire are hot, they may get a potentially fatal shock. On the other hand, if your tool is grounded, the electricity from the hot wire flows straight to the ground and trips the fuse to prevent a shock.

So remember, protecting your ground prong protects you from potential electrocution.

Why do we have to organize electrical cords?

No matter what you do, don’t cords always become unraveled? In toolboxes, in closets, on shelves, they almost always move around and get tangled to other things. When cords tangle up, especially inside toolboxes, it increases the chance of sharp objects damaging the cord and creating short circuits. Also, loose cords can hang down from shelves or closets, which might attract small children to pull it down.  Electrical appliances should always be stored properly to prevent from all the potential danger or harm.
